In 2000, shortly after I completed my degree in Foreign Language and Literature, I began to be interested in the translation and writing of scientific and technical materials and in the preparation of such texts for publication. I worked as a translator until 2001, when I was hired as Scientific Content Manager for the Modena-based Runtimes S.r.L., a firm that provides training and communications materials for the medical and healthcare industries. My duties included the project management of training programs for which I developed, wrote, and edited communications and course materials.
In 2005, I began freelancing, continuing my focus on medicine, the pharmaceutical industry, and the allied professions. In the years since then, my work has included a wide range of projects. In addition, my technical skills and work tools have undergone constant updating—both in the areas of translation and of professional and technical writing.
